We are pleased to announce that C.R. England has begun testing automatic transmissions in its fleet. In this test program, we have received overwhelmingly positive feedback, and have seen great benefits in both safety and performance. Due to this positive testing, we are expanding our pilot program of the automatic transmission tractors over the coming year to further evaluate its advantages in our fleet’s operations.

If you’re interested in being a part of the pilot program to drive one of the new automatic transmission tractors, contact your Driver Manager. We will also be placing several tractors into our training fleet. Let your Training Coordinator know if you would like to be considered for this opportunity. There is a brief orientation required before driving these new tractors, but there is no major retraining necessary. We’ll occasional reach out to you for feedback or you can go to www.driver.crengland.com/driver-services/toolkit/autotrans-feedback.
